What to do First When first arrested for DUI, there are time constraints that must be considered.  In order to have a pre-suspension hearing scheduled, a written request must be forwarded to the Department of Public Safety within ten days of your arrest.  This pre-suspension hearing can determine whether your license is suspended or not.  It is important to contact an attorney as soon as possible to ensure your rights are protected.
